Karen Mitchell

Originally from Abilene, I attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock and graduated in 1986 with a BA in Advertising and a minor in Marketing. After graduation, I began my career in sales and marketing. I spent the next 20 years in sales and sales management in both telecommunications and billing software.

Throughout my career, I learned to listen to my clients and gain a clear understanding of their business needs in order to create solutions that resolved their issues and improved their business processes.

In 2005 I left the corporate world and started my own consulting business which allowed me the opportunity to continue working with clients while at the same time allowing me to spend less time traveling and more time at home with my family. I continued with my consulting work for 10 years, working for clients to find alternate billing solutions, improve business processes, and launch new business endeavors. It was during this time that I became interested in learning more about real estate, both through my personal residential experiences as well as my property location efforts for companies and clients I worked with, which eventually led me to get my real estate license.

My husband Jeff and I moved to Weatherford with our 3 children in August of 2007. We are active members of Couts United Methodist Church, our daughter is a Blue Belle at Weatherford High School and our son is in band and production in a local middle school.

I was voted Rookie of the Year in 2016 by members of the Greater West Association of Realtors. I currently serve on the Education and Governmental Affairs committees and as Director on the Greater Metro West Association’s Board of Directors.
